Hello Foxes,
The Secrets We Save is out! Technically, it released yesterday, but the to-do list was long and the time short and I don’t usually email on Fridays so here we are. Plus there are pesky things like time zones to consider, and the fact that I’m largely nocturnal.
Anyway. The regular e-book edition of The Secrets We Save is officially available on all major e-retailers – Amazon, Kobo, Google, Apple, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble and a few others. So if you’ve been waiting for it to appear on your platform of choice, here it is!
If, like me, you have a Kindle but would prefer not to buy from Amazon, the best way to get the book is direct from me, which is the other delay in writing this email – I was sorting out the website! All links below.
Illustrated versions are still exclusive to Kickstarter and won’t be appearing until later this year. But the story is the same, so if you happen to have read the Kickstarter edition and wouldn’t mind leaving a review somewhere, I’d be very grateful!
Speaking of the Kickstarter, all hardcovers have officially been ordered. They’ll take a few weeks to print and ship, but it’s happening!
Writing update
I’m making good progress with Angels and am, I think, closing in on the end. Not a super long novel, but I had harboured some small hope that it might have been a novella. Ha.
It has some moments I’m rather fond of, including this surprisingly lengthy speech from Del to Santo:
“My soul was in pieces when we met, and you helped me put some of it back together. Jack doesn’t need that. He has no expectations, nothing he wants except to be with you. I think you’re falling in love with him, and I think that scares you because this is the point where, if it were the other way around, you would be leaving. Because whatever happened “a long time ago” wasn’t in your control.”
I always feel awkward sharing WIP quotes because what if the line gets cut? But I like this one, so if it does, at least you got to read it ;)
More books and a (US) giveaway!
It’s a book fair! A broad range of fantasy and sci fi subgenres, plus a prize up for grabs if you’re in the US.
I know, sorry, the rest of us miss out, but what we don’t miss out on is all the books.
And the titles not on Kindle Unlimited are clearly marked, so if you’re shopping elsewhere for your books, it’s easy to see which titles are available.
All right. I’m off to squeeze out a few more words for Angels before bed. I hope you’re going well!
Happy reading,
Kel
