Hello Foxes!
Here’s the promised vlog. This week is actually a bit dodgy because I recorded in my office instead of in front of my bookshelves, but you get to see one of my paintings in progress, so… it balances out?
In this episode of rambling:
I talk about my early drafting process for novels
I get excited about a technique for planning artwork that I should have tried years ago
My oven timer goes off
And I make commitments! Kickstarter pre-launch coming soon, and I’m going to try a new strategy for managing multiple big creative projects.
Also I recorded the vlog thinking of YouTube, so the like/subscribe etc doesn’t apply to you because you’re here, which is much more special ;)
As I mentioned in last week’s newsletter, you don’t have to stick around for the vlogs if you don’t want to. In case you missed it, here’s the plan:
“Kel E Fox”: The usual fortnightly chaos update – news, sass, comics, book fairs, business as usual.
“Fox Vlog”: Alternating weeks is me rambling about the creative process and sometimes being funny. Get it here or on YouTube. Or both.
You can subscribe or unsubscribe to each of these sections as you please! Hit the subscribe/subscribed button and it’ll show you your preferences, something like this:
Stories to Read (actually called Free Stories) – free Tarnenverse novellas for you to enjoy. Who Will Hold the Universe is available to read already, and The Illusion of Fear (romantic gaslamp fantasy art theft mystery) is coming soon!
Fox Reads Podcast – where I read my books to you! Darkhaven is available in full, and you’ll be the first to know when I start the next reading. You won’t get emails about these sections unless there’s new stuff being published.
Do let me know if you have any questions – either about how Substack sections work, or things you’d like me to talk about in the vlog!
Happy reading,
Kel
